Dear Partner Providers:
Since the COVID – 19 crisis hit in mid-March, LIFEPlan CCO has been committed to working in collaboration with all CCOs, DOH and OPWDD to monitor, support and provide services where regulations have been flexed. Care Managers and other staff are working from remote locations or from hometo ensure our members remain healthy and have what they need during this time.
In addition, we are working diligently to stay up to date on approved programmatic modifications to allow flexibility of Medicaid waivers. The OPWDD Emergency Preparedness and Response Appendix K waiver amendment, approved on April 7th allows certain rules to be waived, including those that govern payment, eligibility, rules, claims and privacy. This waiver amendment covers approximately 90,000 people in the OPWDD system, providing regulatory relief for Care Coordination Organizations andProviders of the HCBS waiver.
Services approved for remote delivery include:
- Residential Settings
- Day Habilitation
- Community Habilitation
- Prevocational Services
- Supportive Employment
- Pathways to Employment
- Support Broker
Care Managers at all CCO’s are using a common Monitoring and Support Tool created to track the health and safety of its members in the community, and residents in certified programs.
