Many LIFEPlan members are or have been involved with SANYS over the years. But what is SANYS?
SANYS is a statewide self-advocacy organization founded, and led, by people with developmental disabilities for people with disabilities. Their mission, “Speaking Up for Ourselves and Others”.
With many local groups throughout the state promoting the awareness and recognition of civil rights and responsibilities for all people, there is a good chance one is located near you.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, SANYS has been working to advocate on behalf the IDD (intellectual and Developmental Disabilities) community and sharing information on what is being done to support people during these uncertain times.
