Dorian’s Leadership, Drive, and Big Dreams
At LIFEPlan CCO, we’re proud to walk beside members whose talents and determination light up every room—and Dorian, a high school junior at Brewster High School, is one of those bright lights.
At just 16 years old, Dorian’s life is full of achievement, energy, and heart. She currently serves as Chief of JROTC, a leadership role in which she was recently promoted and one that she holds with great pride. JROTC is a cornerstone of her school experience, and her discipline and dedication shine through every day.
Outside the classroom, Dorian’s schedule is nothing short of inspiring. She enjoys playing ice hockey, competes in track and field, participates in local and tri-state area beauty pageants, and is enrolled in driver’s ed with the support of Accessible VR (Vocational Rehabilitation). She is excited for her upcoming travels this summer that consists of a cruise and an upcoming Birthright trip to Israel. And yes—she’s still only 17 this September.
Dorian is also actively engaged in Community Habilitation services, supporting her independence and preparing her for what’s next. From the classroom to the pageant stage, and now the road to driving and future employment, her journey is a powerful one.
Her Care Manager, Josh, is right there with her, coordinating support like VR and driving lessons, and most importantly, showing up as a real, grounded presence.
As Dorian’s dad, Joseph, puts it, “He’s just a real person. He gets things done. There’s trust. Josh’s work has been tremendous.”
With graduation in 2026, Dorian’s future is coming into focus and it’s full of possibility. Whether it’s vet tech studies, the open road, or continuing to build her leadership skills, she’s more than ready.
Congratulations, Dorian. We’re proud of you. Your story is a celebration of perseverance, partnership, and the belief that big dreams are always within reach.
