May Forum: Family Support Services
Online Thursday, May 22, from 12-1 p.m.
OPWDD’s Family Support Services (FSS) provide programs and supports to help families keep their loved ones with developmental disabilities safe and living at home. The goal of FSS is to preserve family unity. One common FSS program is Respite/Goods and Services Reimbursement. Join us, and the FSS team from Racker (an FSS provider agency) to learn the basics and what to expect when applying for and utilizing FSS.
June Forum: IDD Ombudsman (IDDO)
Online Tuesday, June 17, from 12-1 p.m.
The IDD Ombudsman program was established to provide independent, conflict-free Ombudsman services to assist individuals with developmental disabilities and preserve their rights. The IDDO operates independently of OPWDD or any other governmental entity. Members of the IDDO Team will present on the creation of IDDO, the role of this program, and the scope of services IDDO provides.
