Message from CEO Nicholas Cappoletti on Budget Outcomes

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you who took the time to advocate for increased funding to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in New York State.

While we didn’t achieve the desired outcome, your efforts were not in vain. Your advocacy raised awareness and demonstrated the importance of investing in IDD services to improve the lives of individuals and families across our state. There was an increase in the Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) for IDD, but we recognize that more is needed to adequately support the diverse needs of our community.

Please know that your voices were heard, and your dedication to advocating for change is truly appreciated. Together, we will continue to work to secure the resources and support needed to ensure that individuals with IDD receive the quality care and services they deserve.
