LIFEPlan’s Shailene Fellows, Southern Tier Regional Liaison/Member and Family Advisory Council Member, and Care Manager Aysha Webster Peterson met Congressman Marco Molinaro at his Think DIFFERENTLY Field Day on August 30 at Arnold Park in Vestal, NY.
Individuals of all ages, especially those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, joined Congressman Molinaro for lunch and an afternoon of summer activities.
A sensory bin that Aysha made for the event (which appears in this video clip from WICZ-TV) was a big hit with those who attended the event.
“It was great to meet with people in my community,” said Shailene. “We heard from the Congressman that he would like to learn more about the issues and challenges our Members and families face.”
