IDD Services at Risk

The Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) recently submitted an administrative action that includes significant cuts to supports and services in its annual budget.  These cuts are deliberately hidden from the public.

OPWDD proposes to cut 23% in funding to LIFEPlan and the six other Care Coordination Organization/Health Home (CCO/HH)This budget supports critical services that are lifeline for those with I/DD, such as housing, medication & health treatment, and in-home round the clock care.

The seven CCOs have come together to form Care Management Alliance Inc. The mission of this alliance is to ensure that all New Yorkers with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities can continue to access services for fulfilling, meaningful, and inclusive lives in our communities.
